New Pathways inpatient hospice center now accepting patients – Loveland Reporter-Herald

Pathways newest inpatient hospice facility is now able to start accepting patients a few months after it opened its doors.

The Pathways Inpatient Care Center, which celebrated its grand opening in July, announced Friday that they are now able to accept patients into the building for care.

According to Evan Hyatt, director of marketing and communications for Care Synergy, an affiliate of Pathways, and a former president of the hospice group, the delay in patient acceptance was due to Pathways waiting to receive its state license to be able to take in patients for care. This license has since been received, he said, and the building can welcome patients.

“It is the culmination of about a 20-year vision or dream,” Hyatt said. “Everybody is ecstatic that this is now a reality and we can start serving patients here in Northern Colorado in this wonderful facility.”

The 15,000 square-foot hospice facility, located between Loveland and Fort Collins, will open with 12 beds but has the capacity to expand to 18 bed spaces if needed, This building, according to a recent release, is the only standalone, inpatient hospice facility in northern Colorado and will serve not only local residents but patients from Colorado’s eastern plains, Wyoming, Nebraska and Kansas.

Each of the rooms is large enough to accommodate groups of visitors and allows up to three family members to stay overnight if they desire.

Hyatt said with the booming population of Northern Colorado the facility will fit right in.

“This really is the type of facility this community needs,” he said.
