Halo Infinite’s Campaign Co-op And Forge Modes Delayed Again

The first Halo Infinite campaign previews have arrived, and it appears to be an exciting step forward for the series. Unfortunately, players will have to wait even longer than expected to play with their friends in the mode.

Halo Infinite will not have a campaign co-op (a stalwart mode in the Halo series) or Forge custom games when it launches on December 8th, according to developer 343 Industries.

It intends to add campaign co-op when season two begins, which was originally scheduled to begin three months after the game’s release, with Forge following in season three.

343 Industries, on the other hand, revealed this week that season one will last until May. According to the studio’s head of creative, Joseph Staten, the campaign co-op will not arrive until May at the earliest, and Forge will arrive even later.

Fans will most likely be disappointed, but 343 Industries’ decision to focus on the campaign and multiplayer may have been the correct one. It was already a year late for Halo Infinite, so nailing the two core modes was critical.

The mode quickly surpassed 272,000 concurrent players on Steam, and that doesn’t include those playing on console, via the PC Xbox app, or via cloud gaming.
