ALDI customers are going wild over a one-pan, three-ingredient dinner recipe which is taking Australia by storm.
Scores of ALDI shoppers have revealed on a popular Facebook group how they whipped up the “cheap, tasty and easy” meal using three supermarket ingredients.
Fans say they used ALDI’s Boneless Butterflied Chicken – which comes in a variety of marinade flavours, including Spiced Mango, Greek Style and Spicy BBQ – a packet of rice and chicken stock to create the dish.

To cook, they simply placed a cup of rice in the bottom of a baking dish and placed the uncooked chicken on top.
Then they poured two cups of chicken stock over the ingredients before placing the dish in an oven or air fryer until cooked – usually around 45 minutes to an hour (full recipe listed below).
ALDI fans have taken to social media to rave about the easy recipe.
“Jumped on the chicken and rice train … came out perfect,” wrote one on the Aldi Mums Facebook group.
“One cup basmati rice, two cups of chicken stock, chicken on top – 40 minutes in air fryer oven.”
Another wrote: “I doubled it – family of six here. So two cups of rice and a litre of stock with jasmine rice – was really yummy.”
A third added: “Did this with the Spicy BBQ chicken and it was amazing!”
One more said: “Did this for the first time last night and it was amazing. So happy that those who shared it did.”
Another wrote: “One of yummiest – and easiest – meals I’ve ever made. Family loved it.”
Most agreed they preferred to use stock instead of water in the recipe.
Other ALDI fans said they were keen to give the “cracking dinner” a go.
“Trying this tonight. In the oven as I write this!” wrote one.
Added another: “Wow, must try.”
Some suggested adding different ingredients to the mix – such as bacon, cherry tomatoes, peas and sliced zucchini.
